AFAIK? if information technology is retail and then just make clean install on the new pC setup, a clean install is good to practice fourth dimension to time either way.

If you Create a Microsoft Account for your PC and so make the motherboard bandy, then you lot should non demand to purchase a new Windows 10 license. As long equally you log in with your Microsoft account, y'all should not need to activate.

Just remember, your system needs to be tied to your MS account Before you lot install a new motherboard.

Wolf are you sure that will piece of work even with an OEM copy? Seem counterintuitive to me but can't say I've tried it.

Firstly cheers to everyone who helped me.
In my case when i switched out my mobo I didn't have to do annihilation OS wise. When i plugged everything back in and turned information technology on windows booted fine. I take a retail copy of windows x on my ssd and I didn't need to get a new copy or even enter the central from when i upgraded. Plainly this may not exist the same in your case.
